I have such a little water baby! The first time he went swimming this summer was to the Bountiful Rec Center. They have lots of pools but also an awesome little "splash pad" for younger kids. I wasn't sure how legend would like the chaos and noise along with fountains and splashing, but he LOVED it. He was such a serious little swimmer but he wanted to walk all through the water (which at one point was up to his chest) and crawl around, he got water in his face, we went down the water slide, he played in the fountains, he did it all! He was SO upset when it was time to go home, so since then we've been doing lots of swimming. We go to Grandma's house once or twice a week, then we also got a Cherry Hill pass where we go a couple times a week since dad works so much and we don't get to see him during the afternoons/evenings. It has really helped pass the lonely times for me, plus when we get home Legend is pretty exhausted and will take a good nap. It can get so overwhelming having legend alone all day, especially the evenings, and it gets so lonely without Brian around. I appreciate him working so hard, but I miss him! Can't wait for our vacations coming up!
Legend loves to play at the Pirate's Cove and go around the lazy river and he is getting some seriously tan skin! I can tell he is going to get dark when he gets older. For now I am caking on the sunscreen thick, but even so his skin is darker than mine!
These are just pictures from the Bountiful Rec swim area, I need to take some at Cherry Hill sometime. But I sure do love swimming with my little guy!
Graci was trying to get Legend to smile, which was not happening because his water play time was being very interrupted.
